What’s inside:

What is Marva?
The Experience
You’ll live on an IDF base alongside fellow participants and soldiers.
What You’ll Learn
Beyond military training, you’ll dive into Israeli culture, Judaism, and the history of the country.
The Routine
Expect physical exercise and activities that give you a real taste of basic training.
Living Arrangements
Housing and all meals are provided during the week.
Please Note:
You’ll have 3 or 4 free weekends throughout the program to explore. During these times, you’ll be responsible for finding your own accommodation.
How to Register?
Ready to join? The process is simple!
2.- Select your session:
When asked "How are you applying?", make sure to choose your preferred session and select "Habonim Dror / Maslool" as your option
3.- Complete your portal:
After registering, you’ll get access to a personal portal. You’ll need to upload:
-
Medical form
-
Medical certificate

(if you had treatment) -
Passport-style photo

Important:
Please coordinate all communication through the Maslool Registration Department, as applicants are not in direct contact with Marva.

What you'll need?
Preparation is key! Make sure to check our Full Packing List here:
Be Prepared
Please follow the list closely. Once you are at the base, you won’t be able to buy extra supplies until your first free weekend.
Luggage
You will need to take all your belongings with you to the base, as Maslool does not provide separate storage units.
Military Standards
To participate, everyone must follow these IDF appearance standards:
Jewelry
No jewelry of any kind is permitted.
Shaving (Men)
All facial hair must be clean-shaven.
Hair (Men)
A military-style haircut is required (short, uniform length all over).
Hair (Women)
Hair must be tied back at all times.
Heads Up:
Failure to follow these requirements—even on recruitment day—could result in being unable to join the program.
How will it start?
Location
On the first day, we’ll meet early in the morning at a designated location (usually in Jerusalem). You’ll need to make your own way there.
Last Review
Your commanders will meet you to check that:
-
All your documents are ready.
-
You meet the grooming standards (shaved, short hair, no jewelry).
Be Ready:
Arriving without the necessary documents or failing to meet the appearance standards may lead to your participation being declined. We want you there, so please double-check everything before you arrive!.
